Sentiero Degli Dei - Amalfi Coast

The Sentiero degli Dei links the tiny hilltop town of Agerola with Nocelle, a fraction of Positano nestled on the slopes of Monte Pertuso.

The name of the footpath, The Path of the Gods, is an indication of the spectacular scenery en route. from Bomerano to Nocelle, and not vice-versa as is the more popular way, the route runs gently downhill from this direction, with magnificent views of the Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri.

This trail is considered one of the most beautiful hiking trails of the world, and you can easily see why, it is easily the best day hike i have ever done, it stretches along several villages of the famous Amalfi Drive along the path, it’s still possible to admire remains of ancient farmhouses and meet local shepherds carrying wood or milk with their mules to the underlying towns, and be sure to stop off for a lemon ice in one of the many cute little stalls that sell them along the way.

The eight day trip starts with a climb up Vesuvius and a tour of Pompei, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. The castle, of the city it takes its name from, was erected around the 9th century on a hill commanding the southern side of the Gulf of Naples. It was restored during the reign of Frederick II of Hohenstaufen and enlarged by King Charles I of Anjou between Sorrento and Naples, at the foot of the Lattari mountain range, Vesuvius commannds the skyline around Naples and to Capri, An Island we will also visit during the tour.

We will take in Monte Faito and Monte Molare in the Lattari mountains, on the Campanian pre Apennines, on the sorrentine peninsular, the views are absolutley incredible all the way out to Capri.

The path of the Gods, each step is not without a jawdropping view. After Nocelle you make it down into Positano, Positano is a cliffside village on southern Italy's Amalfi Coast. It's a well-known holiday destination with a pebble beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes, the food was just as amazing as the Views, it really is like ending the hike in some sort of movie.

The Amalfi coastline is a special place, it is a must visit for anybodys bucket list, dotted with cute little towns sculpted into the cliffs, the scenery, food, people all oozing with beauty.

Our eight day tour samples some of the very best adventures and will leave you falling in love with this very special part of the World.
